Sledge Hockey Challenge

The Winter Paralympics kicked off March 8th in PyeongChang, South Korea, and to celebrate, ParaSport Ontario joined with the City of Toronto for the flag raising ceremony and an epic Sledge Hockey Challenge.

Kids young and old joined in the spirit of fun and trying something new by getting into sledges and skating around Nathan Phillips Square. ParaSport Ontario friends joined in, Claire Buchanan was there with her background as a Canadian Women’s Sledge Hockey player and Wheelchair Basketball Canada athlete and Paul Rosen, the Canadian Sledge Hockey goalie for Team Canada in the 2006 Paralympic games.

Thank you to the City of Toronto for hosting such a fun event that we were excited to be a part of. Don’t forget that you can contact ParaSport Ontario any time for your own equipment rental needs and trying something new.
