Open Streets Whitby
Thank you to the Town of Whitby and Sport Durham for having us at Open Streets Whitby on Saturday, Sept. 28. We had a great time bringing out Paralympians like Paul Rosen and many other athlete ambassadors to let the community try out adaptive sports like sledge hockey, boccia, sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball.
Our Athlete Ambassador of the Year, Tiffany Gaudette (pictured left) was on site to facilitate the boccia demonstrations to all of our visitors alongside our Executive Director, Jeff Tiessen (pictured right) beside a young athlete from Whitby who is blind.
We had a great time showing the community some of the adaptive sports out there for everyone to join and try.
