Classification

Archers compete in two sport classes at the Paralympic Games. W1 is for athletes with leg and trunk impairment, and loss of arm strength or coordination, and use a wheelchair in competition. The Open class is for archers competing in a wheelchair, standing or resting on a stool. They have limitations in their trunk and legs, or compromised balance, with unaffected arm function.
