Nominated: Jason Surnoski for Male Athlete of the Year

Jason was diagnosed as an infant with spastic cerebral palsy with right sided hemiplegia.

Cerebral palsy influences movement and coordination, as well as having adverse effects on posture and balance. Jason’s condition is primarily right sided, however his left side is also affected and as such, results in difficulties with gross and fine motor skills.

His distance perception and spatial awareness are also impaired.

Summer Sports Camp

During the 5 days and 4 nights, campers participate in numerous sports and games led by trained counselors, coaches, and sometimes even Paralympic athletes! Sports can include rock climbing, golf, swimming, wrestling, tandem-cycling, goalball, judo, track and field, powerlifting, bowling, and soccer to name a few.
