ParaSport® Ontario. There is a sport for everyBODY!”

Alan Dean

Alan Dean
Alan has served with provincial, national and international sports organizations representing sports for amputee athletes. He was a forerunner in the formation of both ParaSport Ontario and the Canadian Paralympic Committee. He was a staff member on three Paralympic and two World Championship Teams. He’s an inductee in two Hall of Fames. He has relished the excitement of sports for athletes with disabilities and now is involved in lawn bowling, both for fitness and competition.
Hi, I’m Alan. Involvement in sports has opened up many personal opportunities, both as an athlete with a disability and as an administrator within our sports organizations. Throughout my involvement, I have made many friends and had many exciting experiences. It's been a blast.

We acknowledge the land on which ParaSport® Ontario was built is the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit and the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, the Wendat, and the Haudenosaunee peoples, many of whom continue to live and work here today. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum agreement to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. Today Toronto (also known as Tkaronto) is home to many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples and acknowledging reminds us that our great standard of living is directly related to the resources and friendship of Indigenous people.
